Armed Robbery Monday Night at Sprouts Farmers Market

No one was injured, but the suspect escaped.

An employee of Sprouts Farmers Market on Geary Road was robbed at knifepoint Monday night shortly after 11 p.m., according to police.

The employee was in the parking lot of the store when a man described as a white male in his early 20s, 5'10" with a thin build, sunken-in face, short hair and pale skin, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and tan soled shoes, pulled a knife and demanded money.

Once he had the money, the suspect ran off. Police tried to track him with a canine unit, but with no success.

No one was injured during the robbery, and police continue to investigate.

Anyone with any information about this is asked to call the Walnut Creek police at (925) 943-5844.
