Creek Diva: A Mural Defacer, A Threat of Public Beheading and A Reward Offered For AT&T Box Defacer

Thursday, August 25

Nice job, WCPD. A man was arrested on charges of being in possession of a stolen GPS device, which was reported snatched on Aug. 22. 

Jerk! A man was seen with spray paint in his hand on balcony and the roof of Le Virage on North Main Street at 7:14 a.m. The painter was not found when police arrived. Graffiti was found on the north side of the beautiful mural on the building.

Copper job. A foreclosed home on Calla Nogales was burglarized for copper. 

Legal education. Do you know it is against the law to leave a child under 6 unattended in a car without the supervision of someone at least 12 years of age or older? It is punishable by a fine of $100. Kaitlyn’s Law (SB255) became law in 2002. A mother was given advice after she left two kids in a vehicle parked on Montego at 4:10 p.m.

Fluffy crime. Fraudulent charges in the amount of $134.48 were reported at Build a Bear were reported at 6:16 p.m.

Friday, August 26

Late party. Or early. Police broke up a house party on Caroni Street at 2:42 a.m. One man was arrested on charges of drunkenness. 

This isn't a surprise for Creek Diva. A driver ran into three unoccupied parked cars on Near Court at Creekside; reported at 9:12 a.m. Drivers, there’s a crosswalk on the slight curve of Creekside Drive, 15 mph — kids are trying to safely cross to school. Consider yourselves warned. Creek Diva has had enough! 

Smile and say busted! A person has been video taped taking “items off the shelves and returns them for cash” on the 1100 block of Locust Street. Video surveillance has taped the unknown subject four times in one store. 

Medieval threat! A phone call from a suspicious person threatening workers to be “publicly beheaded” at 2:12 p.m. on the 1300 block of N. Main Street. 

 Saturday, August 27

Downtown doings. Four DUI arrests, four vehicle impounds, among other wild happenings downtown. 

Vandalism. AT&T boxes were vandalized between 3:00 a.m and 5:00 a.m. on Belford Drive and Wiget Lane at Ygnacio Valley Road. AT&T has offered a $10,000 reward in the arrest in those responsible. 

Responsibility. A man was cited for leaving two small children alone in car seats in a vehicle at noon on North Main Street. 

Sunday, August 28

Busy again. The WCPD was staying busy again, with four DUI arrests all before closing time. 

Stolen clothing. Several vehicle break-ins on Alpine Road and Alma Avenue; clothes were reported stolen. 

Stolen bike. A Vertical brand, 18-speed, red, gray and black men’s mountain bike was stolen from the 1900 block of Geary Road.
