Creek Diva: Ashtray Dump, Abandoned Bike And Brass Knuckles

Walnut Creek police happenings from Nov. 9 to Nov. 11.

Wednesday, November 9

Possession. A man was arrested after the police pulled him over for a routine traffic stop on Buskirk and Wayne Drive at 3:46 a.m. The driver was charged with being in possession of a controlled substance for sales, paraphernalia and burglary tools.

Heads up! A home on the 2000 block of Walnut Boulevard was burglarized. A rear French door was damaged, but nothing was taken inside the home. With the holidays coming, do you know the WCPD provides free vacation house checks? For more info go to the WCPD site.

Reckless. A caller phoned in about a reckless driver on Olympic and South California Boulevard at 1:47 p.m. The driver of the silver Ford Mustang was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence.

Thursday, November 10

Careful, drivers. More and more deer are being accidentally hit on Ygnacio Valley Road.

Abandoned bike. A bicycle has been found and turned over to the police after it was abandoned by Civic Park for the past two weeks.

Brass knuckles. A twenty something man appeared to be passed out in a room on the 2300 block of N. Main Street at 12:52 p.m. He was subsequently arrested on charges of being in possession of brass knuckles, switchblade knives and two warrants.

Nice job. To the city worker who found a purse in the middle of the road and turned it over to the police for safekeeping. Kudos.

Grab after smash. Creek Diva has noticed a spike in car smash n’ grabs at Heather Farm Park. Remember to not leave your valuables in your car, even the trunk.

Friday, November 11

A night to remember? Three men were arrested on charges of public intoxication and fighting on Locust Street at 2:15 a.m.
