Creek Diva: Fight Night & 2 Stolen Motorcycles

Walnut Creek police reports from June 29 to July 2.

Friday, June 29

Pyrex job. A Toyota Camry on the 2900 block of Velvet Way was broken into overnight and Pyrex cookware was reported stolen.

WCI break-in. A broken multi-use room window at Walnut Creek Intermediate School was reported at 7:08 a.m. A block of wood was located near the smashed glass.

Dumpster fire. Con Fire extinguished a dumpster fire on the 1800 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard at 2:15 p.m.

Two varieties of thievery. Two men allegedly did not pay for their room at the Marriott Hotel on the 2300 block of North Main Street this afternoon. One of the men was also arrested for allegedly stealing another guest’s luggage.

Saturday, June 30

Fight night! Two intoxicated people were arrested downtown for allegedly fighting and being too tipsy in public a little after midnight. A group of six to eight subjects were also allegedly fighting on the 2000 block of Treat Boulevard. The groups separated and went home. An hour later there was yet another fight reported at Maria Maria at 1:43 a.m.

Shut the front door — well, maybe not. The front door to Sakana Sushi on Newell Avenue was smashed overnight. Nothing was reported stolen.

2 motorcycles. A light blue Harley, license plate 19C7496, was reported stolen from the 400 block of North Civic Drive. Another motorcycle, a black Harley Road King was also reported stolen on the same block a few hours later.

Sunday, July 1

Stolen Civic. A chef at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant reported his 2-door, 1998, black Honda Civic, license plate 6PWG622, stolen at 12:57 a.m.

On the sidewalk. An unconscious man was arrested for public intoxication after a resident of Creekside Drive found him on the sidewalk on 10:10 p.m.

Monday, July 2

Checking for leaks. A PG&E employee was in Alegra Court checking for any pipe leaks at 9:02 a.m. FYI, you can always call PG&E directly at (800) 743-5000 to confirm employees in your neighborhood.

Burglary. A resident of Near Court left his apartment unlocked while he took his dog out for a walk. When he returned his MacBook laptop and Nikon camera were missing at 1:38 p.m.

Robbery. A woman was robbed by gunpoint by two possible clients who found her ad online at My Redbook, which caters to “escort, massage, and strip club reviews.” The victim was robbed of her cell phone, wallet and $500 cash at the Marriott Hotel on North Main Street at 2:30 p.m.
