Creek Diva: Handgun Found, Allergic Desperation & Naked Dancer

Walnut Creek police reports from March 6 to March 9.

Tuesday, March 6

BMW broken into. A vehicle was broken into overnight on the 400 block of Caroni Street. A rear window of a BMW was smashed and a gym back was taken.

Desperate about allergy. $2,000 worth of over-the-counter allergy medication was stolen from Walgreens on the 2900 block of N. Main Street at 10:40a.m.

Placard gone. A resident misplaced her handicap parking placard, possibly while getting her car serviced on the 2300 block of North Main Street. If anyone has seen it, please turn it in.

Lame. Some kids allegedly partially cut down a tree near the Pheasant Run community pool at 2:25 p.m.

Hoping for a happy ending. A boys BMX bike was found in some bushes on the 3600 block of Arbolado Drive this afternoon. The bike was booked into found property.

Credit card. Two subjects attempted to use an embossed AT&T credit card and were subsequently arrested on forgery and burglary charges on the 1100 block of North Main Street at 7:06 p.m. One of the subjects was a parolee.

Wednesday, March 7

Heads up. 1100 Ygnacio Valley Road and 1600 North California Boulevard residents, Creek Diva has noticed a spike in vehicle break-ins in this area. Take your valuables with you and lock your cars!

Handgun found. An employee working for BART near the Cole European Jaguar dealership on North Main Street found a .38 Special. The gun was found under the BART tracks. Creek Diva wonders if this gun is connected to the recent bank robbery at nearby Bank of the West.

Electric car stolen. A blue Chevy Volt was stolen from a garage on the 1900 block of Pepper Ridge Court between 12:25 and 12:45 p.m. The keys were inside the car at the time of the theft. The license plate is 6SXB572, police reported.

Thursday, March 8

Smile and say busted! A subject ran into a store at Encina Grande and stole a bottle of vodka at 11:17 a.m. He fled in a banged-up car with graffiti on the sides, the license plate 3LSM577, police said.

Protest incident. A protester reported that a man driving a white Yukon threw “water and food” at him and other protesters who were holding a “1% holding back” sign on Locust Street this afternoon. The protesters were advised to not block the intersection.

Golf clubs stolen. Golf clubs were stolen from a residence on the 1500 block of First Avenue. There are no suspects at this time.

Friday, March 9

Restaurant theft. A Cinco de Mayo customer reported their jacket and wallet missing (on March 7) to police today. This seems to be a growing trend downtown. Be on the lookout, folks.

Naked dancer. A call reported a man “stripping off his clothes and dancing around in the parking lot” on the 2200 block of Oak Grove Road. The naked dancing man was nowhere to be found when police arrived.
