Police log from June 18-23.

Saturday, June 18

Late-night doorbell ditching? Two “blond kids on bikes” were seen fleeing the scene of some late-night shenanigans at 1:53 a.m. on the 2600 block of Via Verde.

Smash 'n' grab: A car parked behind an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Oakland Blvd was broken into overnight. An older iPhone was damaged.

Bad driving: To the three teenage boys who were seen running stop signs, then parking in front of Rocco’s, knock it off.

Lies: Two solicitors told a resident on the 2800 block of Encina Camino that they worked for the Police Department. The truth is they work for a “Safe and Sound Security” and did not have a proper permit to solicit in Walnut Creek.

Call the fashion police: Someone called the PD about boys playing baseball at Diablo Shadows Park, for … wait for it … not wearing shirts.

Sunday, June 19

Go home: A woman was arrested on a charge of public intoxication when she refused to leave Mr. Lucky’s at 2 a.m.

Not so lucky: A caller phoned police at 2:09 a.m. reporting that he knew someone who had posted photos online of an individual doing cocaine at Mr. Lucky’s.

Great job, WCPD: A stolen vehicle was recovered with help from the Concord Police Department and returned to its rightful owner.

An honest person: Kudos to the citizen who found a prepaid debit card and turned it over to the police. No charges were made and the owner of the card requested that the PD destroy the card.

Monday, June 20

Two arrested: A man and a woman were arrested on theft-related charges at 6:52 a.m. on Jerome Court and Walnut Boulevard.

Confess your sins: A church storage shed on Sunnyvale Avenue was vandalized over the past four days and there was graffiti on a picnic table.

Diamonds are not forever: A woman lost a diamond from her wedding ring between her home on Walker Avenue and Buttercup Restaurant on Ygnacio Valley Road.

That's no kid: A caller phoned police after seeing a “4-year-old girl” left alone in a car. Police determined it was an elderly woman who was waiting for her daughter. Creek Diva wants to know her beauty secrets!

Tuesday, June 21

Warning No. 1,000: One more time with feeling: Readers, do not leave your valuables in your cars. A car parked on Oakland Boulevard overnight was broken into and a radio, IBM laptop and $600 cash were stolen.

Thank you: Good job, kind citizen who found a wallet at a gas station in Lafayette and turned it in. It belonged to a WC resident.

Keep a lookout: A 1996 maroon and tan Ford Bronco was stolen from Fresh Start on Trinity Avenue. The vehicle is used to help haul food to the homeless respite center. The license plate is “AGITATE.” To read more,

Not this guy again: Several times this past year Creek Diva has mentioned a man pretending to shoot people with an “imaginary gun” on N. Main Street. Yes, he’s back, folks.

Break-in: A home on Le Jean Way was burglarized via a garage door. Jewelry and computers were stolen.

Wednesday, June 22

Heads up, Whitecliff Way residents: Several cars break-ins have been reported lately.

A fruitful crime wave: Someone called the police about two men selling strawberries on Walnut Boulevard this afternoon. The men left after they were advised to get a proper selling permit. Really, fretting over strawberries sales?

Thursday, June 23

Diving envy? The Woodlands Cabana Club reported that “a large penis” was spray painted on the concrete by the diving pool, possibly overnight.  Bring back the Kermit and Elmo rivalry! Yes, Creek Diva was a Scottsdale Squid back in the day.

Watch your shorts: A wallet and cell phone was stolen from a pair of “swim shorts” at the swim center at Heather Farm this afternoon.
