Creek Diva: Roof Trespassers, A Pimp & Other Scofflaws

Walnut Creek police reports from June 15 to June 20.

Friday, June 15

Get off the roof! A group of kids were seen on the roof of Valle Verde Elementary School on Peachwillow Lane at 10:40 p.m.

Minivan breakin. A Chrysler Town and Country minivan was broken into on the 2900 block of North Main Street this evening. A laptop and leather portfolio was reported stolen.

Soliciting. A man was soliciting “for education” with his daughter near the movie theater this afternoon. He was arrested on two outstanding warrants. Creek Diva has seen this man before, and thought his story was fishy.

Awful. A subject was cited for leaving a baby in a car on the 1800 block of Ygnacio Valley Road at 7:28 p.m. What were you thinking? That is beyond reckless.

Saturday, June 16

Assault. Three men were arrested on assault charges on the 1500 block of Locust Street at 1:09 a.m.

Did you misplace a set of keys on Creekside Drive? A set was found near the Four Season Apartment complex early this morning.

Scam. A woman was the victim of a “Secret Shopper” scam. The victim received a check that she wired $3,800 to a person in the United Kingdom. Please read up on current scams here.

Sunday, June 17

Balcony job. A blue Tek 10-speed bicycle and Toshiba I7 laptop were stolen from a second-floor balcony on the 1500 block of Sunnyvale Avenue at 4:00 a.m.

Thefts. Two motorcycle helmets were stolen from a residence on Glenhaven Avenue this evening. The resident saw a suspicious person driving an 1990s Dodge truck driving near Castle Hill at the time of the theft. One helmet is white, the other is yellow and black and has a “J Coffin” on it.

Residence burglary. Handguns, cash, and electronics were stolen from a home on the 2100 block of Londonderry Court via a sliding glass door this afternoon.

Pimping. A man was arrested on pimping charges on Village Court at 6:43 p.m. A woman was also arrested on a no-cite warrant. Good job, caller. I know this area has been an issue for possible prostitution lately!

Monday, June 18

Busted!

Valuables. Please don't leave valuables in your car. That includes cell phones! A woman reported that someone broke into her Mini Cooper on Locust Street and stole her Droid cell phone.

Tuesday, June 19

Get help. A man was arrested at Target after a few customers were complaining that he appeared to be high on meth. Creek Diva and her son saw the man in question and please get some help!

Fire. A small electrical fire occurred in the backyard of a home on Glen Court at 10:55 p.m.

Wednesday, June 20

Hot gift cards. A man was arrested on burglary charges after he was allegedly in possession of several stolen gift cards at Motel 6 on North Main Street at 11:19 a.m.

Small fire. A small fire was extinguished in front of the Hall Equities building on the 1800 block of Olympic Boulevard this afternoon.
