Creek Diva: Safe Combination Publicized, Teacher's Credit Cards Stolen and Ditching an $85 Tab.

Tuesday, September 13

Band rocked. A local punk band, This Time Next Year, was the victim of a huge theft. A 7x12 trailer was parked in the Northgate neighborhood and stolen; in it were all the merchandise and equipment worth thousands of dollars. The trailer, emptied of the gear, was found a few days later in unincorporated Pittsburg, police said. .

Curb appeal theft. A woman reported that a wreath on her door and a bronze decorative butterfly was stolen from her yard on Monet Circle. She told police she suspected a construction crew due to parking complaints.

Not recommended. The combination to a safe was apparently posted on a wall of business on the 1500 block of Sunnyvale Avenue. That resulted in $1,000 in cash and checks reported stolen at 11:36 a.m.

Wednesday, September 14

Domestic violence call. A 911 call came in at 3:38 a.m from a woman who stated to dispatchers that her boyfriend was “freaking out and pushed her on the floor as she was trying to leave his home on the 100 block of Warwick Drive." Police attempted to call back the woman, but she didn’t answer. If you or someone you care about is a victim of domestic violence, please contact STAND!

Shady! A woman posing as a prospective parent at a school on the 2300 block of Buena Vista Avenue allegedly stole credit cards from a teacher’s purse at 8:39a.m. To the thief, turn yourself in you were captured on video!

Heads up, ladies! Hold on to your purses while shopping at all times. A purse went missing out of a grocery cart at Safeway on Broadway at 12:40 a.m. “A young Asian female turned in a purse immediately, but without the cash,” according to police reports. A similar incident occurred the week before with the same suspect involved, police believe.

Purple bike found. A girl’s purple mountain bike has been found. Contact the WCPD if you think it might be yours?

Not so fast. Someone attempted to ditch out on his or her $85 Cheesecake Factory tab this evening. Police located the customer, who paid the bill. No word about a tip.
