Friday, June 1

Time to quit, buddy. A man driving a gold Dodge Caravan allegedly stole a pack of $7 cigarettes on the 2300 block of North Main Street at 4:06 a.m.

Slashed tires. Several residents on the 1100 block or Roxie Lane reported that their tires were slashed overnight.

Stuck in a planter box. A female was arrested on public intoxication charges the 1300 block of Locust Street at 11:56 p.m after she allegedly became stuck in a planter box.

Fake prescription chase. Two men were arrested after

Another Craigslist purchase hazard. A caller phoned police after purchasing a fake Southwest Airlines ticket from a man off Craigslist. He was arrested by the Apple store on charges of providing a false ID to a police offer and a parole warrant.

Saturday, June 2

Getting loco on Arroyo. Two subjects were arrested for allegedly disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and public intoxication on the 1200 block of Arroyo Way at 1:22a.m. By 1:54, police arrested two more people for drunkenness.

Lost purse. A lost purse and wallet was reported missing near Grower’s Square on Locust and Civic around 8 p.m.

Not nice, Grandma! A caller phoned police at Broadway Plaza after witnessing a grandmother allegedly call her 2-year-old Granddaughter a “bitch” while slamming the car door. Child Protective Services will review the case.

Sunday, June 3

Pot smoker. A driver will have to be re-examined by the DMV after he was parked behind a building on N. Wiget Lane smoking marijuana in his vehicle at 2:30 a.m. The driver has a legal medical marijuana card.

Fire. A home on the 2800 block of San Benito was on fire at 2:03 p.m. Hope everyone is OK!

Festival parking overflow. Several cars were towed for parking on San Carlos Drive this afternoon during the popular Art and Wine Festival at Heather Farm Park. Creek Diva and her son only survived about an hour at the festival this year — way too crowded. Readers, did you attend?

Alleged neglect. A mother was cited for leaving her 8-year-old in a vehicle alone for more than 25 minutes on the 600 blocks of South Broadway and Mt. Diablo Blvd at 5:34 p.m.

Monday, June 4

Repeat offender.

Politics. A political banner on 680 resulted in several calls to the police about being a distraction for motorists. Readers, did you see this sign?

A bar fight. Bouncer vs. customer fighting at the 1300 block of Locust Street. Both were under arrest at 9:13 p.m.

Tuesday, June 5

Lost wallet. Kudos, City of Walnut Creek employee for finding and turning in a lost wallet on Locust Street. Well done!

Bike crash. Two bicyclists collided on the Iron Horse Trail late this afternoon. Creek Diva’s son's amazing baseball team was playing at Walnut Creek Intermediate at the time of the accident and hopes you are feeling better!

Drunk and then gone. A female showed up allegedly drunk to her court-ordered DUI school on Lennon Lane and left in an unknown car. She was not located.

In the mood… A clarinet player was playing “very loud and off key” according to a report from Corrie Lane at 9:56 p.m. No one answered the door when police arrived.
