Walnut Creek police reports for Jan. 16 to Jan. 20

Monday, January 16

Forgive us our trespasses. The library trespasser has been arrested again. He trespassed at the library on North Broadway for the third time in one week.

6 potted plants. Six large potted plants went missing from a front yard of a home on Vista Hermosa.

Heads up, Sun Valley Avenue residents. A rash of car break-ins has been occurring in your neighborhood. Lock up and take all your valuables with you.

Tuesday, January 17

Not Creek Diva’s choice of wakeup call! A jackhammer was rattling neighbors at 1400 Creekside Drive at 7:36 a.m. A note was left for property management.

Another heads up. This time it's for residents in the Carmel Drive neighborhood. Several car break-ins have been reported on your street. Smashed windows and thefts were reported overnight.

Picket etiquette. Two picketers was allegedly on private property on the 1900 block of Olympic Boulevard. Police advised the two subjects on “proper picketing etiquette.”

Wednesday, January 18

Not in Lebanon. A man was scammed after he received a phone call that his grandson was in jail in Lebanon. The caller wired $2,500 to an unknown subject. Readers, please pass the word about this ongoing and growing scam!

Warning. A man was warned about Dumpster diving on the 1500 block of Third Avenue at 7:24 p.m.

Thursday, January 19

Would-be thieves. Two would-be car burglars fled in a teal Nissan Sentra, license plate 6RQB825, police reported. One of the men allegedly broke a window of a car and stole a radio. They fled from the 1400 block of Creekside Drive.

Terrorist threats. A Northgate student was removed from campus after making terrorist threats at 1:39 p.m.

Lame! $2,000 worth of landscaping lights were kicked in at the 1200 block of Walker Avenue overnight.

Emergency room brawl. A group of 15 people were allegedly fighting outside the John Muir ER at 10:03 p.m. One man was arrested on charges of public drunkenness, vandalism to a police car and obstructing a police officer.

Friday, January 20

Indian Valley Elementary again!

Downed tree limbs were reported around town. Now that the rain has passed, readers, check around your property before the next round of rain and wind. PG&E has great info about tree trimming.

Saturday, January 21

Directionally challenged. A woman was arrested on DUI charges after she allegedly was driving the wrong way on Joann Court at Walden Road at 2:01 a.m.

Scooter theft. A locked red Baja scooter was stolen from a parking spot on the 1000 block of Ygnacio Valley Road.

Suspicious.

Tip scofflaws. You know you are intoxicated when you are bold enough to steal money off the bar to pay for your own drinks. Two men did just that on the 1300 block of Locust Street and were arrested on charges of drunkenness at 10:15 p.m.

Calling St. Jude. A party celebrating St. Jude was told to quiet down on the 100 block of Roxanne Court at 10:37 p.m. Isn’t St Jude’s day in October?
