Fire Destroys Garage, Damages Roof
Fire investigators are looking into cause of fire that broke out this morning on Grenola Drive.
Contra Costa Fire Protection District crews quickly put out a fire that destroyed the garage of a Grenola Drive home shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday, a spokesman said.
The 911 call came in at about 6:46 a.m. from the neighborhood off Oak Grove Road. Fire crews knocked down the fire by around 7:11 a.m., preventing the blaze from moving into the house. However, flames damaged the roof and a fence, and burned a boat, motorcycle and classic car. No one was injured. The fire appears to be accidental.
