Police: Lewd Act Arrest near City Restroom

WCPD reports that Crockett man, 35, was loitering near bathroom in Heather Farm Park Tuesday afternoon.

Officers arrested a 35-year-old Crockett man Tuesday afternoon for loitering with lewd intentions near a public restroom at, according to a Walnut Creek police alert.

The charge against Ryan Meulpolder was loitering about a public restroom for the purpose of engaging in a lewd act.

"Over the past several weeks the Walnut Creek Police Department has received complaints from the public about lewd activity occurring in and around public restrooms at Heather Farms Park," the WCPD alert stated. "The restrooms in question are on the southern end of the park across the street from a playground and next to baseball and soccer fields. Citizens have also reported unwanted solicitations for sexual activity while using the restrooms."

Several other subjects were contacted during the operation around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
