Stolen Farmers Market Van Is Found

The van was discovered in Pittsburg, but items inside are still missing

A Diablo Valley Farmers Market van stolen last week was found in Pittsburg, but many of the items that were inside are still missing.

The van was discovered the next day. It reeked of garbage but was mostly intact, according to a story in the Contra Costa Times.

The $6,000 worth of craft tables, cones, signs, banners and other supplies were gone.

Farmers market officials told the Times they'll need to hire a cleaning service to clean up the van.

They said they received $113 in donations at Saturday's market from customers who read about the theft.
