WCPD: Man Exposed Himself to Girl, 14

Walnut Creek police are looking for a man who reportedly offered drugs and sex to a 14-year-old girl on the Iron Horse Trail on the afternoon of Monday, June 18, and then exposed himself to her.

Around 1:20 p.m. June 18, the man followed the girl to the parking lot of her residence, then unzipped his pants and exposed himself, according to a release on the Walnut Creek Police Department Facebook page. The incident took in the  area of the trail near Westcliffe Lane (Civic Drive is on the other side of the trail).

The suspect was wearing an orange construction vest and smoking L&M cigarettes, police said. He spoke English with a strong accent. The victim said he was heavy with a "beer belly," but not obese. He is described as about 40 years old, 5-foot-7, more than 200 pounds, Hispanic, with brown eyes and black hair.

The suspect in a June 9 assault on the Iron Horse Trail in the Civic Park area, Francisco Hernandez-Murrieta, 31, of Walnut Creek, was in custody on June 18, police said. In that case, the suspect allegedly tried to rape the victim at 12:54 a.m. and the woman fought back and fled.
