Update: 99 Percent Protesters Mix With Holiday Shoppers

On this Wednesday of Occupy Walnut Creek, a smaller crowd of protesters mixed with a larger group of downtown shoppers.

At 4:30 p.m. Thanksgiving eve, the 99 percent demonstrators numbered about 30 spread over four corners of Mount Diablo Boulevard and Main Street.

On the Tiffany's corner, there was an appearance by a Lafayette family.

"We're here to stop the big divisions between the rich and the poor," said 12-year-old Ryan.

"We're lending our voices to this protest against corporate greed and the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few," added his mother Karen. Six-year-old Sierra was toting a protest sign as well.
