The New Walnut Creek Library: 8,500 on Opening Day and Some Other Big Numbers

This video from the Opening Day Ceremony of Walnut Creek's new library lets you go inside the building to see how more than 8,500 people experienced the city's newest and most innovative building.

Not only did Walnut Creek's new library open to door-busting crowds on July 17, the library has also been busy with an average of up to 2,900 people a day since and 34,000 books and other items circulated.
