Walk with the Walkin' Mayor Saturday

Mayor Bob Simmons will lead his second "Second Saturday Walks with the Mayor" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, starting at the Walnut Creek BART Station.

The title is "Two by Two by Two" and you have to come walk with the mayor to find out what that means.

Meet Hizzoner on the BART steps at the corner of California Boulevard and Ygnacio Valley Road at 10 a.m. It will be an easy, two-mile walk including Civic Park, the Creek Walk and the Iron Horse Trail, ending at the Pleasant Hill BART station. From there, you can ride BART back to your point of origin, or continue with the mayor through the Larkey Park neighborhoods, another 2.5 miles back to Walnut Creek BART.
