Kindergarten registration is underway in the Walnut Creek School District.
Regular kindergarten registration for parents of children born on or before Oct. 1, 2008, runs from March 18 to Friday, March 29, at the five elementary schools in the district:
- Buena Vista, 2355 San Juan Ave.
- Indian Valley, 551 Marshall Dr.
- Murwood, 2050 Vanderslice Ave.
- Parkmead, 1920 Magnolia Way
- Walnut Heights, 4064 Walnut Blvd.
By terms of state law, transitional kindergarten is offered for parents of children born between Oct. 2 and Dec. 2, 2008, at the district office, 960 Ygnacio Valley Road. For information call (925) 944-6850.
Families need to complete a residency affidavit, submit proof of residency, a child's birth certificate and records of immunizations, as specified on the district's website.
