Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting

Bicyclists and Pedastrians: you have a voice - use it! Please come to this important meeting to discuss bike safety, facilities, and education. You can have an impact.

This particular meeting will discuss:

The creation of a new bicycle advocacy group in Walnut Creek, separate from the city-maintained BAC
A new Walnut Creek Bicycle Map (last updated in 1996)
Website improvements
New bike lanes/sharrows/signs on Olympic Blvd, Newell, San Luis, and elsewhere

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?…Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
