The Public is invited to the Equestrian Center of Walnut Creek in Heather Farm to help us celebrate the Day of the Horse! In 2004 the US Congress recognized Dec 13th as the day we officially and annually recognize our Equine Companion. This year we celebrate on Sun Dec 11. 1pm we will have a $10 Western Tri-Tip BBQ Lunch with Horse and Riding Demos and Entertainment until 2:30pm. This will be a fun and festive holiday outing for the entire family. Free admission for all! Snack bar with hotdogs, drinks and snacks will also be open. If you own or ride horses -- there's more! Come early for a trail ride from Castle Rock Orchard staging area through Walnut Creek Open space trails to the ECWC riding arenas at Heather Farm Park. 10am Staging, Guided Trail rides start at 11am. Sorry, no rental horses available. 2:30pm Guided Trail rides begin the trail ride back to Castle Rock. Do the round trip trail ride or we will shuttle you back to your trailer if you have a buddy who can stay to watch your horse while you are gone.
