The 18th Annual Walnut Creek Sports & Fitness Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 25th.

The Turkey Trot 5K & 10K run event benefits the Walnut Creek Education Foundation and P.E.A.K.

Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
