High School Football: Northgate Cruises While Las Lomas Loses

The Broncos improve to 8-1 and now await Clayton Valley Charter High

Northgate High crushed College Park High, 49-14, in Friday night football action.

The scored was tied 7-7 at the end of the first quarter, but the Broncos scored four touchdowns in the second period to take a 35-14 lead into halftime.

Northgate added two touchdowns in the second half while shutting down the Falcons' offense.

The lopsided victory gives Northgate an 8-1 overall record and a 3-1 record in league play.

College Park fell to 5-3-1 overall and 2-2 in league.

The Broncos now play Clayton Valley Charter High at home next Friday in their final regular season game with the Diablo Valley Athletic League title on the line.

Meanwhile, Miramonte High defeated Las Lomas High, 42-21, at the Matadors' stadium in Orinda.

The Knights are now 5-4 overall and 3-2 in league. They finish the regular season next Friday against Dougherty Valley High.

Miramonte is now 7-2 overall and 4-1 in league.

On Saturday, Berean Christian High lost to Salesian High of Richmond, 49-6, in their final regular season game.

The Eagles are now 2-8 overall and 0-6 in league play. Salesian is 5-4 overall and 2-3 in league.
