Walnut Creek's Open Space offers a day full of activities in honor of Earth Day.
Start off with a morning trail project in Shell Ridge Open Space, then come to a community picnic at noon at Hanna Grove near Borges Ranch.
At 3 p.m., there will be environmental activities for children at Howe Homestead, followed at 7 pm. with a campfire program at Sugarloaf Open Space.
