The Week Ahead: Raptor Seminar, Comedy Night for Animals, High School Rummage Sale Donations

Some of the events happening this coming week in Walnut Creek

On Monday morning, a seminar for children on birds of prey will be held.

"All About Raptors" begins at 10 a..m. at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, 1931 First Ave.

The class will include instruction on how owls and hawks hunt and help maintain the ecosystem.

On Tuesday evening, a New Year's Eve celebration will held at Prima Ristorante.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. at the downtown restaurant located at 1522 North Main St.

A three-course dinner is part of the celebration.

On Friday evening, a stand-up comedy night for animals will be held.

The evening of laughter begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive.

Proceeds go toward Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation.

On Saturday morning, a collections will begin for weekly rummage sales at a local high school.

Donations can be dropped off beginning at 10 a.m. at the Las Lomas High basketball courts, 1460 S. Main St.

Collections will be held every Saturday until March 15.
