Some of the events happening in Walnut Creek this weekend

As you plan your Thanksgiving holiday weekend, here are some events happening on Friday and Saturday in Walnut Creek.

On Friday afternoon, an open house and train show will be held by the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.

The display is from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the society's headquarters at 2751 Buena Vista Ave. in Larkey Park.

On Friday evening, the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein will be performed in a revue.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive.

On Saturday afternoon, a musical release party will be held.

The winter concert series release begins at noon at Spun Studios, 2116 N. Main St., Suite E.
